Sorry I haven't been around much of late dear f-list. I've been busy getting my NaNo total up to 29,607 every spare moment I have this past week. However I took a break from writing yesterday for a few pressing reasons. I came down with an awful bout of flu on Friday, so was running on Neurofen Plus and Synex. Aunt flow decided to 'help' by punching me in the guts. Ta Aunty, kindly sod off again now 'till next month already will ya? [/sarcasm]. And we went out to get our new cat!! :D

No I don't!  Made a good start on my NaNo mission, but need to keep it up.  (I also belted out 2000 words plus of Leo/Renet guff the day before NaNo started, good way to get in the groove that was! ^^  Now I just have to keep Don at bay for another 29 days... >.<)

Also need to get the AFFA certs beta'd and posted (hopefully today!).  If you are hanging out for your 2008 certificate keep an eye on the AFFA Forum public board.  They will be appearing there first before emails get sent to the individuals' who have earned them to let them know directly they are available.  And that lot of spam may take me more than a day or two to get orgamanized.

But, BUT!!!!!  While having a quick look through the various blogs and such as I usually do on a morning, I found this care of GoGreenMachine;

an AWESOME 5th TMNT MOVIE SYNOPSIS (be warned this page does feature a graphically violent image, so if blood and Raph doing what he does best to punks in true Frank Miller-esque style squicks you don't click) made by the fans, for the fans!  Dear Powers That Be I hope this gets made, and made well.

Just 'cos Splinter is made of awesome. And I think we could all do with some Splinter fic right about now.

Slowly but surely catching up with stuffs I need to do online!  I'm not 100% happy with this installment, but I've hit the point of saying "Fuck it, time to move on with the rest of the tale regardless."  And I also wanted to get this one updated before NaNo hits.  I'm also hoping like hell to get the next chapter of Hallmark Holiday posted before then too.  And perhaps a couple of one shots that won't leave me alone.  How long is it before November again?!  LOL!

And the first day of school term for most of my kids. I have something akin to time to myself again! And my laptop has been liberated from the cloying grasp of the TV where it has been in servitude to pirated movie and gaming addicted kiddies. Well, when we've been home at any rate. Spring has finally sprung in Perth so we spent much of the school holidays down the beach. It is so nice to finally feel warm sunshine again!

Sorry I haven't been around much of late, and thank you very much to jem0000000 and aloneindarknes7 for keeping tmnt_tunes alive. I really do appreciate it, and will get over there to get the Song Index updated and read the stories that have been posted right soonish. But first I just want to note a few things here that have been happening in my neck of the woods.

Last Friday was our tenth wedding anniversary. Time doesn't fly, but it hasn't been a long, hard road either. And I sure as hell ain't tired of travelling on it yet. Love you babe.

'tis only a little thing, but here it is.  My first attempt at turtle-tots!  This one was inspired by the prompt "first time" over on tmnt_tuesdays , and I wrote the draft in it's entirety while on the plane from Sydney to LA.  Raced to type it up on the Tuesday cynlee  and I arrived at Lucky D's, but then realised I had managed to miss the window for posting for that prompt anyway.  D'oh!  Oh well, I ended up culling the first three paragraphs and re-working the rest of it a bit more, so missing that deadline worked out in my favour regardless.

Oh yeah, another first for me is this fic is based in the world of the first movie.  Not that it really matters, but that's where the opening line was blatently pilfered from.
